Tina & My Dress Featured in Champaign "News Gazette"

Once we had a design established, Tina recommended I go to Vogue Fabrics in Evanston, IL to see a helpful lady named Pat, who assisted me with picking out shiffi-lace and other bridal gown fabrics as well as various trims.

Tina constructed the dress twice basically; first out of a material called "muslin" then
out of the actual materials, once we knew everything was as I wanted and "a fit".

It was so fun to bring my Mom and Matrons of Honor to see my "work in progress". Most people thought I was nuts, or gutsy at the least, to have a wedding dress made but I just couldn't imagine doing it any other way once I had my heart set on that Italian gown.

I skipped the traditional veil and hairpiece. I went with "spins", nesting jewels all over my "updo". This is Renee, fearless hairdresser who took on "bridezilla" and lived to tell the tale!
